The 2005 Pew Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Physical Sciences and Mathematics will be hosted by the University of Chicago on the weekend of November 4-6, 2005.

Local transportation between the hotel and the University of Chicago will be provided.

The symposium will begin Friday evening, November 4, at the Holiday Inn Chicago City Centre (300 East Ohio Street, Chicago, IL 60611).

Scientific sessions will take place on the campus of the University of Chicago.

Student Presentations
Students are expected to present their research in either oral or poster format.

Oral presentations will be scheduled at 15 minute intervals, allowing 12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions. An overhead projector, and Microsoft Powerpoint capability will be available. Other audio-visual equipment must be requested in advance on the registration form.

Poster boards will be available for poster presentations. The poster boards are 7' x 4' and two posters will share one poster board. For good visual presentation, it is recommended that posters be no more than 3' x 3' (not including space for a title).
